Julia Finnegan

For painters and musicians, the story begins with a blank canvas. The tools of the trade are different, but each are familiar to Kingston, Ontario-based indie-folk artist, Julia Finnegan.  As a painter, colours are the words used to convey images, and as a singer-songwriter, she is able to paint images with her words.

Her songs are well-crafted, poignant, and thoughtful, with melodies that are both captivating and memorable.  Her sound is unique, and there is a maturity to her lyrics that is well beyond her years.  Julia is entering her second year in the Bachelor of Fine Art Program at Queen’s University.

Julia’s has music has been welcomed by audiences from Toronto to Kingston. Her first EP Thoughts Collide received radio play across the region and coast to coast on CBC radio.

Julia Finnegan will perform at the Joshua Bates Centre in Athens on Saturday, September 16th at 7:30 PM with Rose Cousins. Tickets Here!
