Teagan McLaren

Canadian singer-songwriter Teagan McLaren is taking the world by storm and captivating audiences with her self-titled EP and breathtaking live performances. She is currently in the process of recording her second album in Nashville, Tennessee with the Academy of Country Music’s 2002 Guitarist of the Year, John Willis.

Hailing from Kingston, Ontario, Teagan has developed quite the musical portfolio over the last few years.  As well as her Bachelor of Music Degree from Queen’s University she was a top four finalist in the 2012 Billy ‘Idol’ competition where she was awarded the opportunity to audition on stage at the Roger’s KRock Centre for country star Billy Currington.  In 2013, she won the Voice of the Rideau Competition, finished third in the Kingston Fall Fair Country Showdown and placed within the top 100 of CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada Song Quest contest on the reveal day.

Two notable tracks from Teagan’s EP are ‘Will You Dance With Me’ and ‘Go and Get It’. ‘Will You Dance With Me’ is a song that received positive acclaim from Charlie Major and Wendell Ferguson when in attendance at a CMAO. ‘Go and Get It’ was submitted into CBC’s 2015 Searchlight competition where the song assisted Teagan in finishing as an Ottawa regional semifinalist.
