Community Dinners and Events

Week 1

Thursday September 12 – Chaffey’s Lock Community Hall – Justin Rutledge

  • Before the show, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m, the Opinicon Resort will hold a community dinner in the parking lot adjacent to the hall. Reservations are not required in advance. The menu includes Beef Bourguignon (Red Wine Braised Beef with Mashed Potatoes) or Tikka Masala (Vegetarian Curry with Basmati Rice Tzatziki and Naan). Both will be $10 per plate. There will also be a variety of beer, wine, and spirits available both outside during the meal and in the hall itself.

Friday September 13 – Marble Arts Centre, TweedJustin Rutledge

  • Before the show, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, The Potter Settlement Artisan Winery will be offering a wine tasting/tour (the winery is a 10 minute drive from the MAC). $10/person. Please email Potter Settlement at wines@pottersettlementwines.com to reserve a spot. 50/50 at the show. Cash bar available.

Friday September 13 – Manotick United Church – Jeremy Fisher

  • Before the show, starting at 5:30 PM, The United Church will host a dinner (BBQ pork tenderloin, sweetcorn, salads, homemade rolls, Apple Cranberry crisp, coffee, tea, ice water included. Vegetarian and gluten free options available at no extra cost.). Tickets at www.eventbrite.ca/e/bbq-pork-supper-tickets-65104361899. There will be a maximum of 100 tickets sold & there will only be one seating. Beer and wine will be available at a cash bar before, during and after dinner.

Saturday September 14 – Furnace Falls Farm, LyndhurstHarrow Fair

  • Starting at 5:30PM, a farm-to-table BBQ will be held at the venue prior to the show. Menu includes choice of chicken/beef skewers with sides or beef burger with sides – or simply sides for $10/person. Tickets available in advance at admin@furnacefallsfarm.com or terri@greengecko.ca. Cash bar at the show

Saturday September 14 – McDonalds Corners Agricultural HallThe East Pointers

  • Light refreshments will be available for purchase before the show and at intermission. Cash bar available.

Sunday September 15 – Morton Community HallTomato Tomato

  • Enjoy local veggies, cheese and meats pre-show at Wendy’s Country Market located at 408 Fortune Line Rd in Lyndhurst, or dine at the Junction Restaurant near Seeley’s Bay. 
  • Light refreshments will be available for purchase at the show.

Sunday September 15 – Balderson United Church – Jeremy Fisher

  • There are lots of fun activities to do in Burritt’s Rapids before the show like a self-guided heritage walking tour, the Tip-to-Tip walking trail or the charming public beach where you can go paddling or have a nice picnic!

Week 2

Friday September 20 – Joshua Bates Centres, Athens – Gordie MacKeeman & His Rhythm Boys

Friday September 20 – Denbigh Griffith Lions Club – Cassie & Maggie

  • Refreshments will be available for purchase. 50/50 draw. Cash bar available.

Saturday September 21 – Spencerville United ChurchCassie & Maggie

  • Starting at 5:00PM, the United Church will host a dinner at the venue. The menu includes Rappie Pie, Loaded Baked Potato Casserole, Chicken and Broccoli casserole, Cottage Potatoes and Donairs. Blueberry grunt and trifle for dessert. Tickets $15.00 in advance, $20.00 at the door (only 130 to be sold). Reservations can be made by phoning Holly Howard – 613-880-4761. Saturday September 21 – Delta Old Town Hall – The Redhill Valleys

  • Starting at 6:00 PM at the Old Town Hall, a buffet dinner will be held with vegetarian options available.  $15/per person. Reservations required in advance by email dodeltaontario@gmail.com. Cash bar available at the show.

Sunday September 22 – Wilton Community Hall – Cassie & Maggie


Week 3

Friday September 27 – Dunvegan Recreation Hall – Matthew Byrne

  • Enjoy a Roast Beef dinner at 6:00 PM with mashed potatoes and all the fixings, salad, buns and dessert with tea and coffee for $20. Reserve your space by calling Ben at 613-525-4006 or by emailing  wood_guy_ben@yahoo.ca. Due to space limitations, the meal will be limited to 45 people. Cash bar available.

Friday September 27 – Matawatchan Community HallDevin Cuddy Band

  • Sandwiches will be available for purchase at intermission. Nearby restaurants Calvyn’s Pub & Eatery by the Madawaska River or The Pine Valley Restaurant. *Note: Please print driving directions prior to arriving – cell service is limited. Cash bar available at the show.

Saturday September 28 – St. John’s United Church, Brockville – Sultans of String

  • Beginning at 5:30PM, the Fundraising Team at St. John’s United Church will be offering a ham dinner in their newly renovated Church Hall. Honey glazed ham, summer salads, delicious home-made desserts, hot & cold beverages will be available. The cost is $20 per person but only 75 spots will be available. Reserve your tickets in advance by emailing: jane.dargie@bell.net. Cash bar available.

Saturday September 28 – Combermere Community Centre – Union Duke

  • Before the show, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, a pub style dinner (chicken wings, ribs, salads and tarts) will be served at the lower level of Combermere Hall. $14.00/person. Cash bar available.

Sunday September 29 – Elgin United Church – Matthew Byrne

  • After the show starting at 5:30PM, a Harvest Dinner will be held at the Lions Hall. Ham, baked beans, root vegetables, scalloped potatoes, dessert and beverages. $17/person, youth 12 and under $5. Reservations for tickets required by Sept. 23 and can be purchased here through EventBrite or directly by calling 613-359-6031 or 613-359-5607.
