Kelly Sloan

Kelly Sloan’s ethereal folk-pop is a modern take on influences ranging from traditional folk to 60s soul, from country to vintage French pop with hints of Joan Baez, Nancy Sinatra or Françoise Hardy. Her rich storytelling is brought forward by
the purity of her voice, which is adeptly set in contrast with low-fi slow-pop

Kelly Sloan’s style and delivery is an expression of subtle power; her voice is soft and pure yet strong and honest. It is an earnest expression of strength and vulnerability, rooted in the many different genres that have influenced her.

Since she began writing and recording in 2008, she has released 4 full-length albums, the latest album Big Deal (2016) receiving international airplay and hitting Top 10 lists on Canadian radio stations across the country.

Kelly has been awarded the Galaxie Rising Star Award, has performed at the Ottawa Bluesfest, Folkfest, Jazz Festival and has opened for Basia Bulat, Josh Ritter and tours Canada, the UK and Europe regularly.

Kelly Sloan will perform at St. Andrew’s United Church in Pakenham with Stephen Fearing on Friday September 14th at 7:30PM. Buy Tickets!
