Denbigh Griffith Lions Hall was built in 1996 as a township community hall. A few years later, the Denbigh Griffith Lions Club took on the responsibility of running the building—and they have been doing so with enthusiasm ever since. The Lions Club dedicates itself to promoting community development and local charity. Its members are constantly fundraising for a wide range of people and organizations, including the local fire department, hospice and hospitals. Of course, at the heart of their good works is the Lions Hall. This modest building hosts an impressive number of events, from paint nights with local artists to fundraising daffodil teas for the Canadian Cancer Society. Special guests have included Santa and Mrs. Clause, who would never dream of missing the annual Christmas party. Not to be left out, the Easter Bunny is also a regular guest. There is rarely a dull moment in the Lions Hall, as the Club works tirelessly to bring neighbours and friends together in the spirit of fun and generosity that makes this community such a great place to call home.
